Oslo, 9 December 2025: A subsidiary of Klaveness Combination Carriers ASA (“KCC” or the “Company”) has concluded a 32-months contract of affreightment starting March 2026 with Alumina do Norte do Brasil (Alunorte), the largest alumina refinery outside China, for the transportation of caustic soda solution to their alumina refinery in Brazil.

The contract will employ MV Barcarena, one of the 2001-built CABU vessels. When market opportunities arise, MV Barcarena will also carry dry cargoes on northbound voyages, optimizing vessel utilization and reducing ballast time. The vessel completed in early December the 25-year renewal docking extending its operating life.
